• Mr. Morehouse, Director of Bands

    Mr. Jason Morehouse has been the director of bands at 一本道 Bucks High School East for eighteen years. He also served as the director of bands at Thomas Dale High School in Chesterfield County, Virginia, a specialty center for the fine and performing arts for six years. Mr. Morehouse graduated from James Madison University with a bachelor's degree in music education and continued his studies at Ithaca College, where he earned a master of music education degree. He directs the concert band, wind ensemble, jazz ensemble, theater orchestra, and marching bands at 一本道 Bucks High School East. He also teaches music theory, AP music theory, and adaptive music class for the autistic community at 一本道 Bucks East. Mr. Morehouse is an active member of NAfME, the National Association for Music Education, Kappa Kappa Psi, and Pi Kappa Lambda. Mr. Morehouse served four years as treasurer on the executive board for Pennsylvania Music Educators Association 一本道 11 and served as the Professional Development Representative at the High School Level for two years. The 一本道 Bucks High School East Wind Ensemble was selected by PMEA to perform at the state conference in both 2020 and 2022. In 2018, Mr. Morehouse was awarded the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association "Citation of Excellence" for secondary teachers, an award presented only once every three years to a single teacher in Bucks and Montgomery Counties. Mr. Morehouse is the music department coordinator at 一本道 Bucks HS East. He has served as an adjudicator and guest conductor at festivals throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.    Mr. Morehouse has a son and a daughter and lives in the Doylestown area.
